Chemical pumps are widely used in chemical industry, petrochemical industry, metallurgy, pharmacy, food, water treatment and other fields. Its main features include corrosion resistance, wear resistance, no leakage, the ability to convey liquids in critical condition, and reliable operation. In order to meet the needs of chemical process, chemical pumps usually have the following characteristics: high and low temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, wear resistance, no leakage, and the ability to transport the critical state of the liquid. Operational reliability is the most important characteristic of chemical pumps, and this can be achieved by changing materials or construction to increase the pump’s resistance to corrosion for all chemicals except pure water.
Chemical pumps are designed to meet international standard ISO2858 with a full range of hydraulic performance layouts and a wide range of user options. Its structure is easy to overhaul, and its efficiency and suction range reach the international advanced level. Chemical pump is mainly composed of pump body, impeller, pump cover and other parts, using electric motor or diesel engine to drive the impeller to rotate in the pump casing, generating pressure and realizing the transportation of liquid.
I. Structure and working principle of chemical pump

Several types of chemical pumps are briefly introduced:
- According to the different materials of chemical pumps, their application areas are categorized as follows:
-
- centrifugal pump:
Centrifugal pump is the most common type of chemical pump, widely used in various fields. It is suitable for conveying clean liquids of low viscosity, such as water, oil, etc. It is capable of generating pressure similar to centrifugal force to send the medium out of the place of use.
- centrifugal pump:
-
- magnetic pump:
Magnetic pump is a kind of non-contact pump, which only needs to be connected to the power supply when using. The main body of the pump and the motor part are connected magnetically without mechanical sealing, so the magnetic pump has a long service life and is not easy to be damaged.
- magnetic pump:
-
- Diaphragm pump:
Diaphragm pump is a kind of pump powered by compressed air, with diaphragm set inside the pump body, through the compressed air drive energy inside the pump body, the medium is sucked into the pump body from the suction port, and then sent out of the pump body through the compressed air, to realize the process of conveying.
- Diaphragm pump:
-
- vacuum pump:
Vacuum pump is a kind of pump used to extract air and reduce the pressure inside the container to a certain low degree. It is usually used in the chemical industry where a high degree of vacuum environment is required for specific reactions.
C. Precautions for use
- vacuum pump:
-
- Before using the chemical pump, you need to check the pump first to make sure that each part is in normal working condition. 2.
-
- in the process of using chemical pump, you need to pay close attention to the pump pressure, temperature, speed and so on, if abnormalities need to be dealt with in time.
-
- in order to ensure the normal service life of the chemical pump, it is necessary to carry out maintenance on a regular basis, check the lubricating oil, bearings and other parts of the situation, and timely replacement of damaged components.
-
- chemical pump in the working process may often come into contact with corrosive media, so you need to use corrosion-resistant materials to make pump parts to ensure its long-term stable working condition.
-
- When using chemical pumps, you need to select the appropriate type of chemical pump according to the specific material transportation situation to ensure that it can be properly transported. At the same time, attention needs to be paid to the selection of appropriate pump specifications and quantity.
